A Design & Illustration Studio
AUSTIN
We were commissioned (again!) by the Entomological Society of America to create a poster for their 2013 national conference to be held in Austin, TX. We designed it to reflect a vintage travel poster to match the aesthetic of the 2012 Knoxville conference’s poster! You’ll be able to get these at the conference in November.
And if you’ve never checked out the Congress Bridge Bats…it’s amazing!

Here is the poster we created for the upcoming signing presented by Joseph-Beth Booksellers here in Lexington. These will be available to ticket holders: a limited-edition, screenprinted posters…printed by-hand with layers of transparent white on heavy stock, navy blue paper. We were honored to be asked to create a poster for this event! Here are a few process pics.

…asked us to create a custom screenprinted poster for their 2013 season! We had a lot of fun with this design. They are now available at the Lexington Farmers Market booth! They are a limited edition…so, don’t hesitate. Plus, by going to the Farmers Market to pick up a poster you get to see all the other amazing, local participants. A few items that are always on our list but didn’t get added to the poster are Magic Beans Coffee & Sweetgrass Granola!

Now for something fun!
I’ve started a separate tumblr account where I’ll be posting more of my Non-Cricket Press related art. This includes all my comics & comic related illustrations, paintings, scribbles, and a variety of other art…including some process too.
Right now I’m posting Daily Treehouses! There’s already a good number up and I have a bunch more.

Did you know that Harry Dean Stanton is from Kentucky? Did you know that Lexington, KY holds an annual Harry Dean Stanton Movie Fest? A small collection of his extensive career is featured every year and in coordination with the 2013 Fest a Harry Dean Stanton Gallery Show was organized. We contributed 4 pieces - HDS from our most favorite HDS movies, each stylized to fit the feel and title of the movie: Alien, Escape from New York, Red Dawn, and Pretty in Pink!
