Poster Week - Day 3
We are super excited about our poster design for the indy film…
Proud Citizen
After winning second place in a play writing contest, Bulgarian Krasimira Stanimirova travels to the rolling hills of Kentucky for the premiere of her dark, Communist-era autobiographical play ‘Black Coat.’

We were lucky enough to get a copy of the film before we designed the poster and it is a beautiful story…well acted, well shot, excellently edited. Locally, it will be debuting later this summer at the Kentucky Theater where these posters will be available!

As my solo show In the Woods comes down from the Revelry Gallery walls…Cuteopia goes up! This is my fourth year participating in this all-female, group show and it’s always spectacular.
So, if you’re in the area…stop by!
I have 5 new paintings in the exhibit. And though In the Woods is no longer the focus…most of the pieces are still available in the Revelry Boutique.

Ready for another poster week? All week we’ll post new work we’ve created for recent events and bands!
Today’s poster was commissioned by the Fayette Alliance as an art print they will be taking to a variety of events through 2014 and is also available is their online shop.
Here’s a little about the organization:"We are a coalition of citizens dedicated to achieving sustainable growth in Lexington-Fayette County through land use advocacy, education, and promotion.
Through our efforts at government and beyond, we believe that Lexington can be the model for sustainable growth by balancing and connecting our vibrant city with our productive and beautiful Bluegrass farmland.
Since 2006, we have worked with City Hall to usher over 65 major land-use policies into law that further sustainable growth. By achieving our mission, we positively impact planning and zoning laws—which are the building blocks of a better quality of life, economy, and environment for all of us.”

Big THANKS to everyone who came out last night for my show…

In the Woods
A Collection of Sculptures & Screenprints by Sara L. Turner

The exhibit will stay up until February 4th…so, if you’re in the Louisville area swing in and check it out! It’s always nice, as an artist, to start a new year with an exhibited collection of ALL the prior year’s creative efforts. I felt a lot of pride as a productive artist last night…and I was amazingly happy to share those creations with you all. Nothing is more motivating!
